Fluorescence diagnosis is easily done with FotoFinder dermoscope and makes your imaging system even more flexible: With FotoFinder FD-lens cutaneous precancerous stages and tumors are delineated and early stages of actic keratoses and basal cell carcinomas are visualized. The special lens is attached to FotoFinder medicam 500 instead of the regular micro lens. Then, photosensitizer is applied on the patient's skin for approx. three hours. After this time, the photosensitizer has accumulated in the tumor cells and is visible under the ultraviolet light of the lens. The FotoFinder FD-lens has two light sources: white LEDs for the clinical image and ultraviolet LEDs for the fluorescence image. You can easily switch from one light source to the other and document the therapy with an overview and a corresponding fluorescence image. A Wood's-light is not necessary. After the treatment is done a follow-up image shall be taken to show the success of the treatment.
